I ordered a size up for my son, and the fit is spot on with just enough room for him to grow. The material is much softer than I expected for a themed shirt, and it has held up beautifully through several muddy playground sessions and wash cycles. I was worried the distressed eagle design might fade or peel, but it looks exactly the same as when it arrived. My little guy loves pointing at the flags, so it has quickly become a favorite in our rotation.
My little guy is absolutely obsessed with the distressed eagle design on this shirt and actually cries when I have to take it off for bedtime! I decided to order a size up so he can wear it for the big 250th anniversary celebrations, but it fits comfortably right now with just enough room to grow. It has already survived several trips to the playground and multiple cycles in the wash without shrinking or losing that cool vintage look. The fabric is surprisingly soft for a graphic tee, which is a huge plus since he usually gets fussy with scratchy materials.
I ordered a size up for my two-year-old because toddlers grow so fast, and the fit turned out perfect with just enough room to last through the summer.
